It's been a fine how-do-you-do of a week! We had inventory at my BigBox Store, and it wasn't good. It keeps me wondering about the millennial workforce. Why are they unable to stay on task? There is a basic way of working, all based on apps, which is what they're familiar with. All the tasks are laid out on a daily basis, they're pretty much directed via the apps on what needs to be done and when. And they still can't get it done the right way... which in my world means completed. They seem to start the routine fine, but never reach the end tasks; they go home and start the beginning tasks the next day. Over time, these things don't ever get done. These tasks will now be relegated to my department. And I'm not happy.
In other parts of life .... my son sent me a text today and said he needs to move back home, and what am I doing this weekend? Because of so many changes at work, I'm working the weekend. So I did what my sis always does: hires someone. I found this company called GoShare; it's like Uber only it's with pickup trucks. The driver, "Ardy", will pick him and his stuff up at 2pm and bring him home. After three+ years of living alone, this will be quite the adjustment!!!
As for the reasons behind the move, I don't know, and I didn't ask. He keeps things to himself, but will open up when he's ready. Sadie is going to be very happy, she'll be able to interact with more than just me!
