Over the years, I've met some great people through work. One woman stands out: my friend, Helen. We've been friends now for about 12 years. She retired and I'm still working, so we don't get together very often, but we are making an effort to do lunch once a month. Today was our day!
We like meeting up at different places, today was Culver's. We had a really good meal, but even better, we had a really good talk. Two hours just flies by and doesn't seem long enough to cover everything we like talking about. Like work. Family. Politics even came up today! Futures. Plans. Hobbies. Yeah, we cover it all and then some.
With my anxiety that flares up over situations that make me uncomfortable, it's not easy thinking about going somewhere ... unknown. But once I get there, it's better. Thank goodness! Sometimes, it's the little battles that we conquer that make us stronger!
