Dear Managers of my local BigBox Store:
What drives your team? Because from a 'peon' standpoint, it's not working. Your decisions seem to be reactionary, instead of actionary. What do I mean? Your team isn't planning, nor anticipating. Yes. I am peeved after today's workday. Everyone knows that online purchases are on the rise, on the whole. Moreso in the Christmas season .... as it has been for the past five years.
So why is it that your team is not anticipating the amount of freight coming in? No matter how much I've voiced to the team that more room will be required for December's incoming packages, nothing has been done. Today's incoming freight was 128 packages. It took me 3 hours to put them into some semblance of being able to locate them. And more will be coming in this week. And yet, such little importance has been given to being creative in finding additional spaces.
OK. Enough for the nice talk. Yes. I was pissed off. So much so that I walked at 3pm without being done with my tasks. I watch the scheduling of associates in Electronics and *know* that you're not scheduling enough people to work the floor, help customers, let alone hours needed to complete the required tasks for packages and layaway. Shame on you, My BigBox Store management team. Another year of bad choices and poor customer service. What your decisions have done is decrease possible sales, and that affects my profit sharing. I am quite disappointed. It's really sad to be associated with a store with such qualities. I am much better than this. And you should be too.
