Saturday, I got up early and walked Sadie in our fav park. She was so excited to be out there! This morning, because I'm busy doing laundry and the other usual things that get a gal ready for a work week, we just walked around the local blocks.
After we came back and had breakfast, we both took a mid-morning nap. I'm guessing she does this on a daily basis, but it's rare for me! haha
It's been a hit and miss kind of day knowing there are things to be done versus knowing that my body needs to be rested. Finding a happy medium is never easy for me.
I'm ready for the rest of the summer to be .... uneventful. Nothing from the outside, nothing that needs to be taken care of, just time marching on as I concentrate on my own things for a change. Make that concentrate on my own self for a change. Because I'm worth it!
Goal this week: Make it to the gym 4 times. And to use the gym to walk and read rather than sitting in McDonald's for my much needed break from the rest of the working world. I've probably mentioned that I intensely -- no, I HATE the break room in our facility with the TV blaring nonstop and the barrage of people...... No matter what time I decided to take my lunch, there is someone in there who wants to have a convo, and 90% of the time its work related. I get enough work talk ON the clock, off the clock is MY time, TYVM.
Because I was out of sorts, and because scrapbooking used to be my thing, I'm going to work on doing a few pages here in digital format. A few comments, a few photos. There are things about me my kids have no idea ... and maybe someday they will want to know. Then again, maybe they won't!! As a person interested in people's history - mostly in a genealogy way - I've found myself wishing for something of a personal note about past relatives, and there's just not that much to be read or found. Maybe I can change that for future generations. My first set of postings are "1997 East Coast Trip" where I took a quickie through the major portions of the east coast.
