Oh, the C-C-Cold!

A very cold front has moved into the Valley of the Sun, and boy oh boy are we feeling it!  Thursday was so chilly, my car was covered in frost.  Not that light kind that sweeps away with a swipe of the wiper blades.  This was the kind of frost we would get in Ohio just before a snow storm.  So there I was, getting ready to head for work.  I had to open the garage door and grab my ice scraper from the hook on the wall!!

Don't let anyone tell you it's always too hot here -- we get some real cold too!  Thank goodness it doesn't last for a long stretch.  But even a few days can feel like an eternity when you're not used to dealing with cold!

We get many "snowbirds" here during the winter, and we can usually tell who those are -- they don't wrap up in coats and gloves when temps drop into the 30's like us Arizonans do. Instead, they're usually wearing shorts and a light jacket. lol  It can be very amusing if you're a fan of people watching!

Just in case you were wondering, when it gets cold, we top our cactus plants with a styro cup!
