It's Monday

Yep, It's Monday.  It doesn't feel like a Monday, but only because I worked the weekend.  If I hadn't started out so far behind, I'd be much further ahead!

It's rough coming back after 17 days off, so much filing builds up!  And the stuff that needs to be filed?  eh, no one ever looks at it, so is it truly necessary?????

I did some reading today at lunch, finishing off a story by Robert Crais.  I've been addicted lately to his main character, Elvis Cole, and his sidekick, Joe Pike.  This last story, "Taken", wasn't one that I enjoyed as much as others I've read - but only because it was written in chunks /chapters from the viewpoint of different characters, and differing time lines within each chapter.  Tough to jump back and forth with over a stretch of time.  But I finished it, and smiled when I got done -- because the hero always wins :)

Sadie got an extra walk today, and that felt good, but she's out of shape -- as am I!  We got our mile in, however, and that's a good start.  Offsets the cheeseburger I had for lunch.  *guilty*look*

Then I was perusing Steve Maraboli's book that's on my Kindle, "Life, the Truth, and Being Free".  and the section I was reading had to do with change, and how we make it happen.

“Incredible change happens in your life
when you decide to take control of what you do have power over
instead of craving control over what you don't.”

Most of that tells me that a good life is about attitude.  When you choose to make a change, it happens because our attitude changes, we become amenable to things around us, the little things change, and that causes ripple effects and bigger changes can happen!   How often do we wish for something, but refuse to do anything to make it happen?   If you're wishing for something to happen in your life, make a change.  The first change should be your attitude ... and the rest will fall into place!
