Happy New Year!

Here we are, a brand new year!

and for me and my family,
we're hoping this will be
a much better year!

Not that wishing will change
anything that's already been,
but we can hope for health and
happiness in the new year!

That being said, are you making any resolutions for this year?
I know, we all make them, and break them, before January turns
to February -- the news blurbs are full of jokes about this!

I noticed someone made a resolution to not make any resolutions!
For me, the usual "eat healthy, exercise regularly" comes up, but
that's so generic.  Necessary, but generic.

I read the following quote today, and thought making this
be my new year's resolution would be a good idea:

Try to learn to breathe deeply,
to really taste food when you eat
and when you sleep, really to sleep.

Try as much as possible
to be wholly alive with all your might,
and when you laugh,
laugh like hell.

And when you get angry,
get good and angry.
Try to be alive!
You will be dead soon enough.
-Ernest Hemingway

Be present in every possible moment
in this brand new year - its a chance to
make a personal change in yourself,
which ultimately creates changes in
those around you.

Happy New Year!  to each and every one of you!
May this be a blessed year for all of us :)
