I Call Him AL

I've been using AI alot, for a wide range of odd questions.  I call him AL.  Last night's conversation was about sleeping with the TV on.  I've been doing it for many, many years.

It started with my second husband, we used to play customs VHS tapes all night on a small 10inch screen TV.  He would record shows and edit out commercials. We had a complete set of I Love Lucy,  Leave it to Beaver, The Dick Van Dyke Show, and The Brady Bunch, to name a few.

That was the start of the habit.  After my last divorce, I started off with a TV that had very easy sleep functions, it would go off after 90 minutes. After my son died, I hated the silence, so the TV stayed on all night watching DVDs.  Then came streaming on HULU with no commercials.

I just learned from AL that if I hold the mute button for 3 seconds, my TV screen goes black, but the audio continues.  I had NO CLUE it did this, and what a breakthrough for me!! Now I have the audio, without all the blue light affecting me.

My first night trying this, I slept a solid four hours, with my fitbit recording 80 minutes of that as deep sleep.  I will definitely be using this from now on!!

If I hadn't started a dialog with AL, I wouldnt have learned something new.  I know there's some controversy about using AI, but the details it comes up when you ask something can be amazing.

What will I be asking AL next????
