Humor: The Kid

When I took an extra Friday off a couple weeks back, I decided it was time to paint the front bathroom. I'd been thinking of it for some time, decided on a color and picked up the paint. And when you choose any other color but a shade of white, well, one needs to be careful in a small bathroom, as a little color goes a very long way! After painting up around some of the edges, I decided that nope! this was not the color I wanted. So I bravely poured some color into a half gallon of "Sunlit White" left over from the master bath. Much better, I thought, and repainted over what I'd already painted, and the kid rolled on the rest of the paint. It looked much better when we were done, but that was still more color than I envisioned in my mind. Oh well.

The next step, of course, is getting the kid to clean his bathroom top to bottom, including his shower. I added that after it was clean, he needed to put some car wax on the upper part of the shower walls, as it would make cleanup for a long while a whole lot easier. He nodded, said he'd never thought of that, and I didn't think about it again.

That Sunday afternoon, I'm in my room, and I hear this noise.... our house isn't far from a major freeway, so if there's some kind of incident, we often hear a helicopter flying toward it. I figured it would move along, but I kept hearing it. And thought, "Wow! He must be hovering close!" and ran out the back door to take a peek. Funny, but outside, I couldn't hear it at all. Walking back in, I realized it was louder INside, and panicked, thinking my AC unit was making funky noises. I followed the noise, however, and walked around, into the front bathroom. There was the kid, standing in the tub, with the orbital buffer pressed against the shower wall! I never laughed so hard.... THAT's ONE WAY TO MAKE IT SHINE!
hugggs to everyone!
