You are my density!

"You are my density!" says the nervous teenage George in the move Back to the Future! I found it hilarious and so touching -- I could see any boy of that age flubbering with words and lines like that, all nervous over a girl. Very endearing! What he meant, of course, is "You are my destiny". According to wiki: "Destiny refers to a predetermined course of events. It may be conceived as a predetermined future, whether in general or of an individual."

None of us knows what the future holds. But how often do we imagine how we'd like our life to be? There are all kinds of things to turn to if you want to try to discern it: horoscopes, iChing, Quija boards, tarot cards, psychics, fortune tellers, gypsies, even religions. Through the years, each has had its turn in the spotlight. When it comes to horoscopes, personally I prefer to read mine a day late, just to see if what they said would be, really was ;) While we may never know what lies ahead in our destiny, I'm a firm believer in listening to our gut instinct; that if we're open to suggestions, thoughts and ideas, anything can happen!

Intuition is a spiritual faculty and does not explain,
but simply points the way.

I was working hard as usual today, and for some reason the word 'destiny' popped into my head, which made me dash over and start writing.... and it had me wondering why that word? Kenny Wayne Shepherd's song "I Found Love (when I found you)" was on the radio. That might have been it. Because from the start of my friendship with Mike, no matter what other opinions other friends had about the whole thing, there was something special about him; my gut instinct kicked in and said things to me from the start. And even though logic had me doubting from time to time, my intuition never changed, and I fell in love --- long before I had the nerve to tell him so. :) It feels as if I knew he was a part of my destiny, and some day (soon!) it will happen. In the meantime, he's been my teacher, my mentor and my best friend.

So when it comes to pondering your destiny, and your life's dreams.... dream big.
And remember what Anthony Robbins said:

“It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped."

HUGGGS to everyone!
