9.11 A day of remembrance.
Most years, I'm at work but today was a day off. I got myself up early and headed over to Tempe Town Lake where it was the 12th Annual Healing Field event. A flag for every victim on 9.11 is erected, each with a name on them. It's quite the event, and so very moving.
I wasn't anywhere near NYC when it happened, but it touched my life along with every other American.
Each flag has a name attached.

There are no words to describe how it feels to see
so many flags in one place.
Even more, how it feels knowing that each flag
represents a person tied to an event that changed the entire world.
May we never forget.
