Ready for Fall

I haven't posted in a while.
Sometimes it feels as if writing about life takes up more time than living it!

Things are busy at work, and I'm doing some additional training at a sister store for a new employee.  By the time I get home from work, I sit down at the computer and open my Family Tree program, delving in to Census records and cemetery sites.  I've gotten a lot of good information on 2nd and 3rd great grandparents on my father's mother's mother's side.

Last night I was laying in bed and something woke me up.  Could have been anything, but the next thing I heard was a clink and then a splash.   In the morning, I found a cricket had somehow jumped (or climbed) on top of my dresser and with one jump, landed in my drinking glass.  UGH.

After all the rainy weather, I decided to go out and clean the yard.  The wind pushes leaves and detriment up against the house, time to get it swept out.  In doing so, I found three black widow spiderwebs on a wooden bench -- and the spiders that went with them!   Icky!   So there I am in my gloves and armed with my can of bug spray and spraying those crazy little buggers!  I took my time, making sure they didn't scurry off into a hiding place, and got rid of them!   Now I just need to be consistent about yard spraying to make sure the little cocoons didn't have babies in them.  *sigh*

Oh the joys of home ownership!

I've also become addicted to watching "Longmire" on NetFlix.  It took some time to get the story lines going, but its enjoyable!  The scenery is breathtaking, and Branch (the deputy) is a hunk.  But there's something about Sheriff Longmire - the strong silent cowboy type - mmm hmmm.

Hurricane Linda has been flinging in clouds and humidity into our neck of the woods - and she can just go away!  I don't enjoy any kind of humidity any longer, I'd much rather have 105 heat with 10% than 95 and 50%.  sheesh already.    I'm ready for fall--- and FOOTBALL -- - are you???
