Forget the deadlines at work - I'm not staying late to finish
anything. I am leaving at lunch time for my hour, and leaving directly at quitting time.
Why?
Because what's important to me matters just as much as getting a job done, completing some task, or anything else along those lines.
I matter, too!
So I hit the gym at lunch time, which is 10am for me! and got 23 minutes of walking in. I left work directly at quitting time, and headed straight back to the gym, and got another 23 minutes of elliptical this time. I feel pretty good! I didn't over do it, I don't think I worked myself too hard, so there won't be stiff and sore muscles to deal with tomorrow. Building up slowly is a better approach for me at my age! But I'm patient.
Since I started this journey of tracking my mileage, I have now reached the 1500 miles marker! When you think about it, that's walking all the way to my mother's and back home again! Just not in one long stretch. haha Our bodies are amazing things if we stop to think about it, to really appreciate all that it does. We need to take care of it!
And that's my goal: to be healthier and more fit in the coming weeks.
Afterall, I have a Wedding coming up soon!!!
