New treasures!

Another 50% off Saturday at Goodwill, and it was off to find treasures!  I don't think we spent a total of $25 and came home without about 24 items.  These two will probably just stay the natural clay coloring they are.....

(please ignore the dust, the flash really makes it show up!
Guess I'll have to get busy today... )
my son is very creative turning these simple glass vases into something different,
using different paint techniques.... wonder what he'll come up with next!

For me, I just love the elegance of a piece of curved glass.  (I'll confess it was one of the reasons I bought my first new car... a 1978 El Camino... the back window was curved!)

White Vase

A simple glass vase that was probably used to deliver flowers in to someone,  I picked it up at Goodwill for $3,  which was a little steep for me, but I liked the design in the glass.  I gave it a quick coat of paint to match the other vases on a shelf, its a very nice addition!

Making old things new again. .  . a sign of my getting older??   *laughs*
