Wed.Nes.Day

At work, Wednesday is my fav day!  It's the day I get to see my truck driver, Jim.  He comes in and picks up all the things I have prepped all week to take it to the center where its sorted and distributed to various vendors, etc.  Anyways.  It's such a nice feeling to have all that has accumulated out of my way, a fresh start, so to speak.

It's been a rough week.  I try to take it all in stride, but when you get back to back to back long days, it sure takes your psyche for a beating.  In the meantime, I got a lot of errands run this week.  Only one left is the grocery store tomorrow.  And I'll put that off until Saturday if I can!

I didn't make it to the gym this week, however I made good food choices on Tuesday and today.  All in all, not bad.  My step tracker said I did over 11k steps, and I've now reached a milestone of 1300 miles!  That's a heck of a lot of miles!  All the way to my mom's and back again! (but... I'd rather fly than walk!)

Weird Blahs

Image result for blahSunday afternoon. I've had two days off in a row! and while that's exciting and relaxing, it also is unnerving.  I was up early and on the go for 20 days straight, hurrying from one task to the next in order to get them done.  And now I don't need to.  And I feel a little bit lost.  The word "Blah" kinda sums it up!

Saturday, I got up early and walked Sadie in our fav park.  She was so excited to be out there!  This morning, because I'm busy doing laundry and the other usual things that get a gal ready for a work week, we just walked around the local blocks.

After we came back and had breakfast, we both took a mid-morning nap.   I'm guessing she does this on a daily basis, but it's rare for me! haha

It's been a hit and miss kind of day knowing there are things to be done versus knowing that my body needs to be rested.  Finding a happy medium is never easy for me.

I'm ready for the rest of the summer to be .... uneventful.  Nothing from the outside, nothing that needs to be taken care of, just time marching on as I concentrate on my own things for a change. Make that concentrate on my own self for a change.  Because I'm worth it!

Goal this week:  Make it to the gym 4 times.  And to use the gym to walk and read rather than sitting in McDonald's for my much needed break from the rest of the working world.   I've probably mentioned that I intensely -- no, I HATE the break room in our facility with the TV blaring nonstop and the barrage of people......   No matter what time I decided to take my lunch, there is someone in there who wants to have a convo, and 90% of the time its work related.  I get enough work talk ON the clock, off the clock is MY time, TYVM.

Because I was out of sorts, and because scrapbooking used to be my thing, I'm going to work on doing a few pages here in digital format.  A few comments, a few photos.  There are things about me my kids have no idea ... and maybe someday they will want to know.  Then again, maybe they won't!!  As a person interested in people's history - mostly in a genealogy way - I've found myself wishing for something of a personal note about past relatives, and there's just not that much to be read or found.  Maybe I can change that for future generations.  My first set of postings are "1997 East Coast Trip" where I took a quickie through the major portions of the east coast.
