Monday, Monday

Ahh Monday and my day with my trainer.  I am really enjoying him and his lessons.  He is working with me, and my body, and correcting things, teaching me things.  Two things he noticed today about my physicality was that my right foot has a tendency to turn outward.  Not a lot, but its noticeable.  After some tries and turns and such, he gave me a few things to work on.  The same with my shoulder, my right one sits higher than my left.  He studied my moves as he put me through some shoulder workouts, and made corrections as we went.  We talked about any past injuries (none) and my sleep habits (yes, I have been sleeping on my right side) and whether its stiff or sore.  *laughs*  It will sure be sore tomorrow!  We worked on the rotator cuff muscles, to see if that helps at all.  I'm going to look into some other kind of pillow, or switch to my left side for the time being, see if that helps.  With some excellent exercises to work on, I should be noticing a difference soon.  Of course, we worked on abs, balance, and core and all the other crazy tortures... umm... I mean exercises ... he puts me through!

On a personal note, I've had my share of struggles the last few days, and it had me thinking about self respect and inner strength.  While I have no idea where they come from, I know that they are necessary, they make us who we are.  So lately, I'm working on me, taking care of myself and doing what is best for me.  Workouts are a great way to do that :)
