Mother's Day

Good morning!  And Happy Mother's Day to all the MOMS out there :)

I started my day early again - yes, Sadie loves to wake up with the sun and the birds. And here in the Valley of the Sun, sunrise is earlier than ever - just past 5am.  We started the day sitting on the patio, watching the sun come up, watching the birds squawk up a storm.  There was a cat in the yard, and they sit in the tree above it and screech and squawk, I guess warning other birds not to land in that yard?  It was kind of amusing :)

By 7am, Sadie was still restless and boy, its hard to relax, to read, to do anything when all she wants to do is play - not alone, of course! haha  So I buckled her into her walking collar and off we went to the park for a long walk.  Even at 730am, and only 78 degrees, after more than half an hour, she's needing to rest up and have a drink.  Pugs are not very good warm weather dogs when it comes to endurance.

I'm a firm believer of signs, and try to pay attention whenever one comes my way.  I walk the same paths at Riparian, and there are rocks in all kinds of places there.  Most of the rocks there are desert beige, hard and angular.  But in the middle of the path near the end of our walk, there sat two dark grey very round smooth river rock type stones.  Very out of place in that area.

I paused only a moment before I picked them up and slipped them into my pockets ... my Uncle Jim collected rocks just like I do (and so does my granddaughter!)  Hello to you too, Uncle Jim!  I know, I know, its time to get the rock in  my backyard, because its ready -- but you already knew that! hehehehe ;)

On the way home, I treated myself to a
Venti Green Tea Frappuccino

The BEST treat in town!

Hope your day was as good as mine :)
