Weigh In Weds

Good golly, I'm feeling so wiped today.  All this week, actually.   I painted my spare room over the weekend, and tweaked or pinched something in my hip.  All week long I've been favoring it, so other muscles come into play and they're sore.   And my emotions have been on edge as well -- time to make a double check on my vitamin and supplement intake, I think.  And to find a way to alleviate some stress.  Workouts tend to be good for that!!

On top of that, of course, I have my personal training sessions.  Allan is really good about switching up the routine because of soreness, but we've done arms and abs work twice in a row... so yep, those are a little sore!   Thankfully, he's understanding about the whole soreness thing, and some of our movements today were all about the smaller muscles that aren't always focused on, so some awkward shoulder press moves were done.   I never really thought about it  before today, but hand placement on a barbell can make all the difference in the world.   Shoulder width apart is standard, but try changing your grip to palms up and closer together?  yeah, that'll work a different set of muscles *grin*

Ok, so weigh in weds got under way.  I was down only a pound after 2 weeks (I had to miss last weds) and I was a little disappointed with that result.  Seems like I have high expectations.  But its been a very stressful two weeks, and while I try and maintain my calorie intake and my exercise, some days it just doesn't work the way I want it too.

I'm going to try a new piece of advice from Allan - to start my day with at least 12 oz of cold lemon water.   I figure I can chug that on the way to work, then have my one indulgence:  Diet Coke.   I just can't get over that one little thing.  *sigh*    Oh.  and chocolate. hehehehe   Allan had an interesting POV on the water.  We drink plenty up til  bedtime, we get up in the morning and all that is flushed out - we're dehydrated, and water lubricates everything up again.    And since I seem to be stuck at a plateau, I'll try anything for the time being :)

We're rolling toward the weekend now...  I'm so happy for that!  Hope you are too :)
