Seven Years

Seven years, come and gone

passed in the blink of an eye

it seems as if just yesterday

we were exchanging glances

the roads we each traveled

to this point in time

were very different

and yet every day we find

we have more in common

than we ever expected.

You are my present,

and my future,

the one I hold in my heart.
