Luck + Tidbits

Well, it wasn't without a lot of worry and stress; our BigBox store audit was done on Tuesday, and we passed.  However, on Weds, we had another surprise audit -- and passed that as well.  *whew*  Thanks for the luck!

I was sitting at my desk space this morning, and thought of something I wanted to write about here, but didn't write it down; I remember thinking I wish I had a way to txt myself so that I could recall things later when I got home.  Am guessing my phone has some sort of 'notes' section in it, but darned if  I know how to use all that fancy phone stuff!   lol  Any one care to try to teach an 'old dog' some new tricks???

Because of the extra hours I put in on Monday and Tuesday, I had extra time to burn Wednesday, so I headed over to the gym for a quick walk:  3 miles, 49 minutes.   (48 minutes is the goal!)   I wonder how many miles I've logged since March when I started ?  I may have to tally it up!  I had the same problem again today... so another quick walk for a long lunch hour... its becoming a habit!  (16.5 miles logged for the month of June.....  *yay!* )

It's official, my trainer moved on to bigger and better things.  *sigh*  I miss him very much!  So I'm back to training on my own, and boy is it easy to slip into old habits, patterns, routines.  I'm mindful of that, so I'm trying not to let myself do that.  I'm setting little goals every two weeks - very attainable stuff, and that seems to work.  Its sure a lot easier to think about losing 2 pounds this week, rather than the overall picture of wanting to lose 40 lbs and being discouraged when it doesn't happen fast enough.   It's all a process, one day at a time.  We've heard all the cliches, and there's a lot of truth behind them.

I'll leave you with a quote by Mark Twain:  (And while it applies to diet or fav foods, it sure can apply to other things as well! )

There is a charm about the forbidden
that makes it unspeakably desirable.
~Mark Twain
