Little Red Fiat

My second husband was into cars. He had an old LaSalle that he had fixed up, and an opportunity for him to buy a 1972 Fiat that needed work came along.  It was a convertible, with 4 on the floor, and I loved driving it!

It was the summer of 1990, and we had to shuffle the kids back and forth with my ex.  When I pulled up in this Fiat to drop off the kids, seeing his face  .....  ahh, good times.

Tooling around in this zippy little car with the top down was great in the summer. And then it got cold, and my car wouldn't start. I knew I would have to resort to taking the kids to school in the Fiat.  Wouldn't be much of a problem but we had to drive with the top down as the back window was corroded and you couldn't see out of it.  I sure didn't need a ticket!

So I bundled the kids up, and tossed a blanket over each of them and headed across town!!   We always laugh when we remember how silly we looked that morning!  Sometimes i wish I had kept that!
