6pm on a Saturday night, and I'm feeling restless. I have been constantly on the go for a week now, and today was the one day I didn't have to work. Of course, with an intense work schedule, it's also the only day I have for doing chores like laundry, house keeping and grocery shopping. Ahh the joys of going to the store when I don't have to be there. But that's how it is; I went and got everything done today. So I'm sitting outside, its 90 degrees, there's a very nice breeze --- weather like today are reasons we Arizonians love it here! But now that I'm outdoors, I'm wishing I had taken my early morning walk today. I intended to, but realized that with all of my chores, and still needing to sneak in some kind of a nap (gotta replenish the backup stores of energy!)
I'm watching the sun sink in the west, there are pigeons who appear to be feeding babies in the tree out back, as I can hear them cheeping. I wondered if my geckos would come out this evening as I refilled the water dish out back. Earlier today I hosed off the patio after the rain we got Weds night. Which was very refreshing, by the way! and as I look around, I realize that I really need to get my block fence painted up. 2 of the three walls are one color, one is another. I've become accustomed to seeing them that way, but I'd sure like it to look a little nicer. :)
One of the projects I'm considering are some pallets to attach to the fence, and use as planters. In my case, more like shelves for plants and cactus in pots, so they can be moved when the heat gets intense. This picture gives a good idea how it might look :) I just love the thought of upcycling!
