Weigh In Weds

Yep, its Wednesday.  And yep, I went to the gym.  And nope, I didn't reach my goal -- not even close!  In fact, somewhat backwards:  I was up two pounds today.   Its very easy to list reasons here as to why I think that happened:  My work schedule has been off for three days, because of inventory, which causes undue stress.  And when there's stress, or I don't feel good, I tend to eat.  I've been pretty good with my choices:  I'll choose a protein bar over a Hershey bar.  But my calorie intake was higher, I'm sure.  I didn't do my SparkPeople log as faithfully as I should, and that helps me stay aware of where my eating habits are.  *sigh*  I'm hoping that its just stress weight, and some water retention.  We shall see next Weds, if not before!!!  grrrr

One of today's challenges (there's always something on Spark People that helps us think about things) has to do with journaling.  This is my journal of sorts.  I used to write things down in books, but typing is faster, and adding pix makes it that much better!  So the question they asked was "What do you write in your journal?" because lets face it, people who journal tend to write to get things off their chest - and its usually negative stuff.  So the challenge was to write something positive, uplifting ... you get the picture.  If you focus on positive things, you will feel positive about things!

Today's positive thought:  At first they'll ask you WHY you're doing it;  Later, they'll ask you HOW you did it!    And you know? That's very true.  People ask me what I'm doing to lose weight.  And I'll tell them :)  They usually want to talk about the things they're doing, and I'm careful not to make corrections if I know that what they're doing isn't going to get them where they want to be; no one likes bossy advice!
