8+ hours, then drive home, pick up the kid, and head back to my store for
a shopping spree! As a thank you for working extra hours through the
thanksgiving holiday, we got an extra 10% off everything on one order.
So I tried to think: What would I really want or need? Of course, lots of
electronics things come to mind. hehehe But I resisted on things that would
be considered "for myself" and instead bought a couple of shelving units for
the garage, and a Shark ( the floor cleaning kind, not the swimming kind!!)
Yes, we did make our usual grocery purchase as well. Ended up saving $100 -- always a good thing to my mind!
I'm still in my "buy nothing until 2013" phase. Along with that thought process, I also have another that I do in my thinking: "Use it up". As I go through my weekend chores, I check around to see what I have that can be used up. Am I planning on washing the floors? I might check under the sink to see if any of the bottles can be used up. Same with shampoo or makeup items, or things in the garage. Its amazing how much space you can gain by using up that last little dribble of something!
My challenge to you this weekend: Use something up!
G'head, you can do it!
I will too, and report back later :)
