Yes! there was a lot of work to be done. But I'm a go-getter when there's a lot to be accomplished. In my job, all the items that are returned to my big box store are brought to claims, where it's my job to sort, separate and create paperwork to get reimbursed from vendors for defective items. I box these items up and build them onto a 42x48" pallet to be loaded on to a truck, headed for Vegas. Most Mondays, I get 2 pallets prepped and ready to go. On a busy Monday, I might have 3. Today, I built 4 pallets, and started a 5th one for tomorrow. What I find incredibly amazing is that people are returning things before they even get to Christmas! Are they shopping for things for themselves and using them right away? The normal patterns don't seem to apply any longer. Of course, that's obvious with how retail is staying open later, never closing on Holidays -- we are an all consuming society. Shop Buy Shop Buy Shop Buy seems to be our mantra. How sad is that?
As I get older, wiser and do more reading (of things other than chick lit! hehehe) I'm finding you get a sense abundance, a feeling that life is full and joyful, if you incorporate gratitude, simplicity, order, harmony, beauty and joy into your days.
After work, I went to the gym, got my hour's workout in, came home, walked the dog, fixed dinner, sorted laundry, then found time to relax here with you. :) I hope your day was just as wonderful as mine!
