I really enjoy her books; this one is about a girl who is disfigured in an accident in which her parents died. She's raised by her grandmother, and wants to be a writer. She risks it all and moves to LA to be a part of Hollywood - her script about a girl very similar to herself gets picked up and of course, there are mishaps and such with networks and advertisers all wanting to call the shots. After airing three episodes, her show is cancelled. As much as she's disappointed, she's also relieved, because the story that was aired wasn't the way she wanted the story told. In a last fling gesture, she assembled another cast and shot her story her way, and uploaded it to YouTube. It went viral, and the networks were clamoring to get her back to do her story, her way. A happy ending story in her professional life, as well as her personal life. Very good read, I recommend it - especially if you'd like to get a glimpse of behind the scenes action. Ms. Weiner did a good job researching and writing the scenes. :)
Dinner was something called "Santa Maria Tri Tip", grilled to perfection on the bbq. It came in a package, all marinated in salt, pepper, garlic and some cayenne. It was delish! with just a hint of heat. Definitely having this one again :)
Here's too a good week ahead for all of us!
"All you need is deep within you,
waiting to unfold and reveal itself.
All you have to do is be still
and take time to seek for what is within,
and you will surely find it."
