Letting Go

Today, I opened a plastic tote I had been storing in the garage for years. It's full of old memories. But it was time for some letting go.

Six yearbooks.  I was never one of those involved students so mostly there was just the yearly photo. I cut those out and tossed the books.  Much to my surprise (dismay?), I found out my first husband and I attended the same junior high school! I had no clue all these years as we attended different high schools.  I cut those photos out and tucked them in with my daughter's scrapbooks.

Then there was my son's scrapbook. I saved a few mementos and tossed the rest.  Very difficult but needed to be done.

In 1982, it was $1800 when my daughter was born by C-Section.  Do I really need to keep these medical bills???

And then there's my file of art/drawings and another file of collected sayings.  When I collected them, I had no idea in 3 decades I would be able to pull them off the internet. Hehehe

With the exception of a few pages in a scrapbook, I have an empty tote!

Yep, time for some letting go.
