I once was lost, but now I'm found.
A simple line from a very old hymn, Amazing Grace written in 1779.
It's a deeply profound statement if you've ever felt lost. And find your way back.
Years ago, I had a different blog with a theme of creating art. My reasoning might have been questionable, but it was to create purposeful art in different forms: photos, sharing thoughts on love and other subjects, poetry from time to time.
When I began, I had been out from under my mother's thumb for close to 20 years, and close to 10 years away from my ex husband. And felt I could do as I pleased without being judged, given permission or being censored. If Mom saw it today, she would call it shameful. My ex would ... do I care what he would think??
Discovering that it was still out there hiding on the "interwebs" has lifted my spirit. Along with making choices in changing/adding to my decor ..... I guess you could say I'm becoming more of a bohemian hippie!
Long live the 70s!!
And now, there's a decision to make: leave well enough alone? Or start creating again. And I'm torn. Being creative takes time and effort. And I'm not sure its in me. But then I checked viewer stats and even though I hadn't post in seven years, I was still getting hundreds of hits.
Maybe the answer is going slow, give a few tries, see how it feels to me. There's beauty in everything, if you take those few moments to find it.
"Photography is not what you see,
but what you make others see."
