We all go through stages and changes on life. What works for us when we're 30 doesn’t work at 50. And that's ok. Sometimes we need to shake things up, re-evaluate, and create a new version of ourselves.
Part of that process includes how we see our future. What we see at 30 isn't the same as what we see at 50.
I started packing up things at home when I started packing things up at mom's. I thought that I would relocate. But it appears that I am stuck for the duration. Mom could be around another 2, 4, 6 or 10 years even. I have always jokingly said she was stubborn enough to outlive us all. I might still be right.
So if I'm going to be in my house another 2, 4, 6 or even 10 years, why should my stuff be packed up?? With a different mindset, I should probably check out what's packed and what I don't want to save.
Not everyone is into the history of our relatives/ancestors. I'm hoping my daughter is honest in what she wants, and what she really doesn't want.
I want to be true to my self. With that in mind, I'm going to be a little different.... a little bohemian, a little hippy and maybe a bit maximalism in hanging things on the walls. And it starts with my love of rocks. I have no idea why rocks ... sometimes they "speak" to me and I have to pick them up. So I decorated my console table (mom would hate it! haha)
