Puppy Day!

Today I drove to visit my daughter and granddaughter.  We ate at Buffalo Wild Wings (simple chicken wrap for me!)  and then I swam with my granddaughter for an hour.  (only a little pink this time!)  The purpose of going down there, however, was to pick up my daughter's dog, Sadie.  A cute little pug who's very smart - and also has just a little bit of attitude!  She's a lovebug when she wants to cuddle, though :)

Of course, driving home, I'm sure she was wondering where her own "people" were.  But she settled in for the long drive ( 2 hours) and it went well.  When we got home, there were three new toys in the middle of the floor for her, and she pounced on them right away in true puppy fashion.  She also dashed around from room to room checking every nook and cranny for goodness knows what kind of treasures a dog looks for!

But the most comical was taking her into the backyard.  She was free to run without a leash, and she managed to find her own path to run circles -- just like Nascar laps!! -- zooming around and around.  I think she perfected 20 laps in the semi dark before knocking into a potted cactus.  lol

She finally seems to be finished with her perusals for the evening, and is sitting here at my feet, all well behaved.  But we shall see what tomorrow holds!
