Our first night went pretty well.... although that probably depends on your point of view. Bedtime and its into her cage. Whine. Whine.Whine. Whine. Whiiine. Whinnnnne. Yeah, no sleep to be had this way. TV on for noise/comfort. Whine. TV off for darkness. Whine. Hmmm. first night, new place, yeah. Dogs like to be part of a pack. Guess I'm it? lol besides, I'm an old softie. OK. Into the bed. Sadie curled up next to me and fell right to sleep. She doesn't move during the night near as much as my granddaughter does. lol
I think the "thing" that will hardest to figure out is morning. When I wake up, its time to pee. She's a puppy and feels the same, I'm sure! So I wonder how this battle will go? hahaha Only time will tell. :)
Because of the heat and humidity today, I decided we'd better get our walk in early. So off to the park we go. Its my plan to get her used to riding in the car. She has a special travel seat, so that helps. We got all settled in, with a little whining of course, but settled in just the same; and off we dash to the park. We wandered a short 20 min route there, talked to a few people, chased a few birds, barked at the ducks. We took a short cut across the grass that dips down; at the bottom of the dip, the grass was soaked and when her little paws hit what looked like grass but sunk her paws into a puddle, she tried dancing her paws out of it really quick. Wish I'd had a video of that!
We got done with our walk, came home and had breakfast. Afterward, Sadie proceeded to make a few Nascar laps around the backyard again. Makes me smile just thinking of it!
Busy morning, 845am and she's sacked out for a morning nap. ahhhhh, the dog's life :)
