Tonight, there was another dust storm. As the wind moves in to the Valley of the Sun, it picks up some of the clay dust and it swirls into a huge cloud of reddish dark, and from the right angle, you can watch it begin to move its way across the valley. You can see in the picture, the rain clouds that are above this dust storm. They usually roll along the ground, under the clouds. Thankfully, they pass by very quickly.
Tonight as this one rolled through, we were watching it as it approached. We could hear the crunch as two cars collided followed by a screech of tires, perhaps the person behind them as he slammed on the brakes. Hopefully, everyone is fine.
The other totally awesome feature on my phone is an app called "retro cam" ... it takes photos and automatically gives them a retro look. I took this one of Sadie while I was experimenting. Almost as if she says "aw geeeeee, again?" as she patiently stands there, staring at me, giving me what I call "The Look".
Another pic of a flower
with a different retro cam setting.
I kinda like this :)
